October 2024 News

We are pleased to see the new small hall is already in steady use with bookings by regular hirers and for one-off events. Last month we put on our first gig in there – a Sunday afternoon of Blues which, I have to say, worked out very well so much so that one of the performers, Dave Saunders, mentioned us in his gig e-mail as follows: “Harry and myself had a superb gig in the new room at Caryford Hall, the first act to play it, the Acoustics were spot on, a full house and a very pleasant way to spend the Sunday afternoon”.

The Kathakali evening was also extremely successful with all tickets sold (and we could have sold many more). The make-up and costumes were stunning, the music was loud, and the interpretation of the story was sympathetically performed.
